Wednesday, April 22 – Earth Day Cleanup
Huge thank you to all the volunteers who joined us at Otter Creek Woods and Monk’s Creek Woods in Edgewood for our Earth Day cleanup!
Together, we collected an impressive amount of litter across both properties—and even came across a few unexpected finds (including what looked like leftover Halloween decorations).
It was an amazing way to celebrate Earth Day while giving back to some of the most unique and pristine natural areas in our community. These properties are made up of deciduous woodlands and vernal pools, also known as “flatwoods,” and represent the largest known intact woodland of this kind in Harford County.
We couldn’t do this work without you, thank you for helping keep these special places clean and thriving! Stay tuned for more volunteer opportunities coming up.
