HLT's Longtime Executive Director Peg Niland to Retire

From HLT Board President Ben Lloyd:

"After 11 years of dedicated service, our Executive Director Peg Niland is retiring on June 1, 2017.  During Peg's time in charge of the HLT's day-to-day operations, we have grown our organization and achieved many successes in land preservation.  This last year alone we completed the acquisition of five properties in some of the county's most environmentally delicate watersheds.

"We have put together an impressive search committee to spearhead the task of soliciting, interviewing, and evaluating candidates to become just the third Executive Director in our 26 year history.  The application deadline is March 27.

"While any transition is difficult, Peg has generously offered her assistance in working with the new Executive Director in order to make the transition as seamless as possible.  Although Peg leaves some very big shoes to fill, we have every confidence that we will find the right person to manage our operations as we embark on the next phase in the HLT's mission to preserve Harford's natural resources and rural beauty."
