When we think of giving gifts to our favorite charities, most of us think of the annual appeal and renewing our memberships in organizations like the Harford Land Trust. Have you ever considered a gift that pays tribute to someone’s accomplishment? We all have friends who have come to a point in their lives where they just don’t want any more material items for their birthday or Christmas, but would love to have a membership in the land trust, receive a newsletter, and know they are helping to preserve the farms, forests, and urban green pockets of a special place. Over the last year, several of our members were honored by gifts in their name by others just for being a special person.

The Trust notifies those that have been honored and the donor receives a tax deduction.
