  Projects
 
 
The Harford Land Trust has protected more than 865 acres since 1991. It presently owns 194 acres and is responsible for perpetual Conservation Easements and other deed restrictions on 494 acres, which are privately owned and not open to the public. Its main activities, however, are (1) purchasing open land to prevent its development and (2) showing private landowners how to utilize the various local and state programs for selling or donating development rights in exchange for Conservation Easements. The Trust offers information and confidential advice about these methods without charge or obligation to the owners.
